Long Journey

Shannon has arrived in Kuwait safe and sound! It was a very long journey; they flew from New Jersey to South Carolina to pick up additional personnel which took the better part of the night and morning. Then off to Shannon airport in Ireland where they spent a few hours and finally to Kuwait. She was exhausted, but we spoke to her this morning and she was in great spirits. They are 11hrs ahead of us so she's had a chance to settle in. Shannon ran into an ICU nurse there that she knows from her hospital in Bethesda, it really is a small world! Her friend is processing there as well and will be heading out to a forward operating base. Shannon should be heading out to her assignment soon.
